Private transfers from Paris Charles de Gaulle

CDG is a large, spread-out airport. After a long-haul flight, many travellers find the walk to the train station, the ticket machines and a crowded RER B ride with suitcases harder than expected. A pre-booked private transfer removes those steps: you walk out of baggage reclaim, find your driver and leave.

When you book with Benelux Limo:

  • You pay a fixed price per vehicle, VAT included, so the fare does not change with traffic on the A1 or A3 motorways.
  • You receive instant confirmation, and cancellation is free until 24 hours before pickup.
  • Your driver tracks your flight and waits if it lands late.
  • The day before, you receive your driver's name, phone number and number plate.

You can choose a sedan for one to three passengers, a minivan for families and groups, or a VIP vehicle for business arrivals. Transfers also run the other way, from Paris to CDG for your departure.

Arriving at CDG: terminals, passport control and baggage

Charles de Gaulle has three terminals. Terminal 1 is the round concrete building, served mostly by Star Alliance and other foreign airlines airline allocation. Terminal 2 is divided into halls 2A to 2G and is the main base for Air France and SkyTeam partners. Terminal 3 is a smaller building near the Roissypôle area, mainly used by charter and low-cost flights Terminal 3 use.

The CDGVAL automatic shuttle train links Terminal 1, Terminal 3 (via Roissypôle) and the Terminal 2 railway station. Terminal 2G is reached by a shuttle bus from Terminal 2F 2G shuttle bus.

If you arrive from outside the Schengen area, you will pass passport control before baggage reclaim. Queues at peak times can be long, especially in the morning when long-haul flights land peak times. Because your driver follows your flight and allows for this, there is no need to rush. After collecting your bags, you pass through customs and come out into the public arrivals hall of your terminal.

Drive times to central Paris, La Défense and Disneyland

Most journeys into Paris use the A1 motorway, which can be very busy at rush hour. These times are typical for normal traffic; they can be considerably longer on weekday mornings and evenings.

  • Central Paris (Opéra, Louvre, Champs-Élysées): about 25–30 km, 45–60 minutes
  • Gare du Nord and the north of the city: about 25 km, 40–50 minutes
  • Left Bank (Saint-Germain, Montparnasse): about 30 km, 50–70 minutes
  • La Défense business district: about 30 km, 40–60 minutes
  • Disneyland Paris (Marne-la-Vallée): about 40 km, 40–50 minutes, mostly avoiding central Paris
  • Versailles: about 50 km, 60–80 minutes
  • Paris Orly Airport: about 50 km, 50–70 minutes

Because the price is fixed per vehicle, a slow drive through the Porte de la Chapelle area does not change what you pay.

Public transport versus a private transfer

Paris has good public transport from the airport, and it suits light travellers well. The RER B suburban train runs from stations at Terminal 2 and at Roissypôle (for Terminals 1 and 3) to Gare du Nord, Châtelet–Les Halles and Saint-Michel, taking about 30–40 minutes to the centre. The Roissybus runs to the Opéra area in roughly 60–75 minutes. High-speed TGV trains also stop at the Terminal 2 station for other French cities.

The drawbacks show up when you are tired or carrying a lot. The RER B can be crowded, there are stairs and turnstiles to manage with suitcases, and from the station you still need to reach your hotel, often by metro or taxi. Families with pushchairs, groups and anyone arriving late at night will feel this most.

A private transfer takes you door to door. For a group of three or four, or a family sharing a minivan, a fixed price per vehicle can also compare well with buying several train tickets and then a taxi.

Where to meet your driver at CDG

Your driver meets you in the public arrivals hall of the terminal where you land, just after you come through the customs exit. Look for a sign with your name on it. Because CDG has several terminals and halls, it helps to check your arrival terminal and hall (for example 2E or 2F) on your boarding pass or the airline's app, and keep it in mind when you land.

The day before your transfer, you receive your driver's name, phone number and the vehicle's number plate. Keep your phone switched on after landing so your driver can reach you if needed. If you are delayed at passport control or baggage reclaim, do not worry: your driver tracks your flight and waits if it lands late.

At Terminal 1, arriving passengers come out on the ground-floor arrivals level Terminal 1 arrivals level. In Terminal 2, each hall has its own arrivals exit, so your driver will wait at the hall shown for your flight hall-specific meeting points.

Travelling with family or a large group

Many families fly into CDG on their way to Disneyland Paris, and the transfer is often the most tiring part of the day for young children. A minivan gives everyone room to sit together with suitcases, pushchairs and car-seat bags, and goes directly to the park hotels without changes of train.

For larger parties, such as wedding guests, sports teams or colleagues arriving for a conference at La Défense or Paris Nord Villepinte Paris Nord Villepinte about 10 km from CDG, you can book several vehicles so that everyone travels at the same time. If your group arrives on different flights or at different terminals, book a separate transfer for each arrival so that each driver tracks the right flight.

When booking, tell us the number of passengers and pieces of luggage, including large items such as golf bags or ski cases, so the right vehicle is sent. If you are travelling with very young children, mention it in your booking notes.
